Biography
Louise Gouëffic, B. A. and B. Ed. University of Saskatchewan,
one year of studies l'université d'Aix, France
three years of linguistics, University of Toronto, Ontario.

Her research project consisted of gathering 20,000 items of speech gleaned from dictionaries all over the globe concerning specifically our species. While the 20,000 filing cards papered her walls she examined the etymology, origins, relationships, history, modern usage, etc. of the items and chose 10,000 for her first book. She started to connect the dots after her first book was published in the US in 1996 by Knowledge Ideas & Trends, Manchester CT.


Louise has belonged to various Learned Societies:
  • CIES, Comparative and International Education Society
  • OSCLG, Organization for the Study of Communication, Language and Gender
  • CSSE, Canadian Society for the Study of Education
  • CPES, Canadian Philosophy of Education Society
  • CAFÉ, Canadian Association of the Foundation of Education, etc.
She has presented over 30 papers to various learned societies around the world.
